How to season a wok?

For first time use simply wash the wok with a mild detergent and rise with water. Wipe dry with a paper towel or cloth.

What is a phenolic handle?
This handle has controlled conductivity, preventing excessive heat transfer.

Can my wok go in the oven?
No Ken Hom woks can be put into the oven or grill, due to the handle material.

Is the grill pan safe to put under a grill?
The grill pan is not safe to put under the grill or use in the oven, this is due to the handle material.

My handle has become loose, why is this?
The handle is detachable, simply align the notches at the base then twist the metal end clockwise. 

Can I use metal tools in my wok?
Woks are not metal tool safe, we recommend wooden or silicone tools.

Can my bamboo steamer go in the dishwasher?
No, wash with hot soapy water and do not leave wet, dry thoroughly with a cloth.

My steamer is cooking unevenly, why?
We recommend swapping basket layers for even cooking.

Can my wood tools go in the dishwasher?

How can I save my wok from scratching my induction hob?
If you wish to shake the contents of the wok whilst cooking, in order to even the cooking of the dish, always pick the whole wok up, shake, and then set down. Do not rattle the wok on your induction surface as this will cause scratches on the hob. Always use a trivet to save worktop surfaces, as woks can get extremely hot.

Can I use the boost setting on my induction hob?
It is advised, while using the watch on induction hobs, that the induction booster is only used for a very short time.
